If you still want the answer to this question hear it is....
I was wondering the same thing so I thought about it and researched it a little bit anly to find out that I ws looking in th wrong place. All this time I was looking on the internet when really I need to look in the forest it self. After a trip I found out that a fallen redwood helps the forest because as it decase it give nutriance to the soil helping the trees to grow better. It also gives a home to some animals on the forest floor. The decomposers break down thhe fallen tree or recycle it to help blance the soil.
Anyway hope that works for you. bye!!!
Rocks and minerals do not form The Redwood Forest. Trees form the redwood forest, specifically, redwood trees.
The Oakland region of California has redwood forests.

More than a few.
Only oak trees produce acorns. If a redwood forest has any oaks, they would have acorns, but redwood trees are conifers and produce cones, not acorns.
