Dingoes survive because they are not fussy eaters. As well as actively predating on mammals and marsupials, they will actually eat birds, reptiles and a range of invertebrates as well. Dingoes are also scavengers, happily eating carrion from roadkill, or other animals that have not survived the harsh conditions. Sometimes dingoes live in family packs, hunting together to "gang up" on larger prey.
