The right side of the heart pumps deoxygenated blood to the lungs to be oxygenated. This also carries carbon dioxide to the lungs so that it can be blown off.

The left side of the heart receives blood from the lungs and pumps it to the systemic circulation.

your cardiovascular system pumps the blood to your respiratory system to allow it to freely move.

when you are running your brain tells the respiratory system to work harder and your respiratory send a signal to the brain to increase blood flow which is then sent to the cardiovascular system.
