The us is a global force that exists in a global context. during the cold war for example it was believed that a chain of event is due to happen if you do not prevent them/ then, it was in the context of communism - if the us would not support the democratic people of Vietnam then communism will not only flourish in Vietnam but will effect the whole area. Today Iraq is an unstable region, that can effect world powers such as russia Iran and usa if lets say the us pulls out of Iraq it will effect the global arena in terms of domination. and will emphasize a lack of us foreign policy
