Without a circuit diagram, there are more questions before answers.
First, assuming no other components, there is wire resistance to consider. There is also minor resistance in each connection, and each switch contact.
In any event, the sum of the voltage drops in any series ckt equals the voltage of the source. If the sum of the wire, contact, and other voltage drops was .2 volts, and the source was 12.6 volts, then the light bulb would have 12.4 volts applied to it.
it would be 3v
When the batteries are connected in parralell, the voltage remains the same as a single battery, but the current capability is doubled. When connected in series, the voltage doubles at the light, but the current remains the same as if a single battery was connected. Ohm's Law E=IxR R=E divided by I I=E divided by R E=Voltage R=Resistance I=Current
Your 2004 Chevrolet trail blazer and battery light indicator is always on because the battery has sufficient charge.
If the three light bulbs are in parallel across the battery, then the full 9 volts appearsacross each light bulb.If the three light bulbs are in series across the battery, then the voltage divides amongthem as follows:Across the 10-ohm: 9 x (10/60) = 1.5 voltsAcross the 20-ohm: 9 x (20/60) = 3 voltsAcross the 30-ohm: 9 x (30/60) = 4.5 voltsSum of the voltages across the 3 individual light bulbs = 1.5 + 3 + 4.5 = 9 volts.
it takes 1 C type battery <><><> That answer is not really very helpful because the question doesn't say what the voltage of the light bulbs is! This question cannot be answered without knowing at least the voltage of the light bulbs and also the voltage of the battery that is being asked about.
For current to flow through the lamp, there must be a potential difference (voltage) applied across opposite ends of that lamp.
Sounds like battery/alternator problems. Check battery first, it's cheaper to replace.
The battery light comes on when the alternator output voltage is too low or too high. You have a wiring or regulator problem. The battery light comes on when the alternator output voltage is too low or too high. You have a wiring or regulator problem.
If it is undercharging the battery yes, but if it is overcharging the battery no in most instances. If it fails completely the light will come on.
Does alt. light stay on after car is shut off? If so could be voltage regulator is defective and overcharging battery when running Does light stay on after car is shut off? If so could be a bad voltage regulator--if so may be overcharging battery Check voltage readings at battery should be around 14.2 with car running -- if much higher than this voltage regulator is bad.
Need more information. Wattage of bulb, voltage of bulb, voltage of battery and wire size of the circuit.
Your battery has low voltage and needs recharged, check for loose battery cables, if the light stays on have your alternator checked.
