How does zero gravity for long periods of time affect the Human body?

Short term might cause some weakness in muscles and you have to do some exercises if you want to get in shape.

Long term causes rather permanent degradation of muscular mass and pushes your body to get rid of calcium in the bones. Such effect are often irreversible.

Although I'm not an expert and this isn't a complete answer, I will say that lack of gravity can cause difficulty swallowing and irregularities in digestion as well as headaches, nausea and vomiting, which are similar to that of motion sickness. I think I'll stay on Earth where the gravity is fine.

You would be taller as gravity compresses us slightly by pulling down on us.

NOTE if you measure your height when you wake up and again at the end of the day it will most likey be less the second time. Thus is the effect of gravity that would obviously not exist in zero gravity.

for eg;

1 Because of of the vacuum, you don't find any external pressure but because of the internal blood pressure the body will burst out. it doesn't happen on earth because of the atmospheric pressure. this is the reason why astronauts wear spacesuits.

2 you wont find any oxygen over there so people die because of suffocation. so they carry oxygen tanks.

3 there wont be any gravity so one would feel weightless.

4 extremities in temperature are always present.

there will be many more.
