You can simply replace the entire module in the dash, but I don't think that's your problem. It's very common on Chrysler products of the last 20 years to burn out the resistor block, which is what actually controls the fan speed. If one or more fan speeds don't work, or it only works on high, that's your problem.

It's a fairly inexpensive part, available only at a dealer last time I checked. The fun part is actually installing the thing, and I don't know where it is on an Intrepid. It's usually under the cowl; you'd have to remove windshield wipers, that plastic screen, and a few other things to get to it. When you do remove it, I'll bet at least one coil will be totally fried.
