Impossible to answer as it depends on the two stars and how big and bright and far apart they are. But any planets round a binary star are unlikely to have a stable orbit, therefore the range of temperature variation is likely to be too much for advanced life or for water to stay liquid.

How far away is the binary star system alrai?

The binary star system Alrai is located about 45 light-years away from the constellation Cepheus. This star system also goes by the name Gamma Cephei.

How far from a star is the habitable zone?

It cannot, a star can only have one or no habitable zone. Actually, many stars in the universe have none (or very, very inferior ones.) There are various reasons; one of them being that most stars exist in groups of two or more, making it difficult for a planet to have a stable orbit with just the right amount of constant starlight to be habitable.

Which planet got taken away?

The planet that got taken away from the solar system was pluto it was no longer a planet because it circles around the sun differently

How far is the nearest habitable planet?

In the near future the Sun will start to grow and Earth will start to die. As the Sun grows the habitable zone will move further outwards. Mars's polar ice caps will start to melt and cover the planet with liquid water as Earth's water evaporates. If we have the technology when this happens we will be able to travel to Mars and live there until the habitable zone leaves Mars. After that happens we will have to live on asteroids and other moons. Almost all the inner planets will incinerate then the Sun will shrink and grow and shrink again until the Sun's core collapses and explodes. So the closest habitable planet will be Mars which is 50 million miles away.

What is the further planet from the earth?

Since Pluto has been removed as a planet in our solar system, Uranus is now the farthest planet away.

What do you need to survive on Neptune?

It is impossible to survive on the planet Neptune. This planet is very far away from the sun and therefore is very cold and not habitable.

Is ther a planet that you can live on exept for earth?

Not in our solar system, outside our solar system there may well be a planet that is habitable to human life, however if we found one we would not be able to get to it with our current space travel technology they would simply be too far away.

Why is the earth a habitable planet?

Earth is habitable because of our natural resources. Water, and land capable of growing food. Our atmosphere is perfect for life. The sun is the perfect distance away.

Does every star have a planetary system?

With current evidence, the answer is no. Whilst many stars will have a planetary system (Solar System) many will not. The prime candidates for not having any planets are binary and multiple star systems. This is because the gravitation tug of the multiple stars, inhibits planet formation. Our closest star system, Alpha Centaur which is a binary system, has failed to produce any planets, whereas further away stars have, This seems to suggest that the theory is at least partly true. Planets have been found in binary systems, but they are rare. So: Not all stars have planets.
