Who were Aurangzeb's sons?

Aurangzeb had 5 sons: Aurangzeb's eldest son Sultan died young. His fourth son Akbar, rebelled against his father and fled to Persia where he died in exile in November, 1704. His third son Azam and youngest son Kam Bakhsh died during the Struggle for Succession that followed Aurangzeb's death in 1707. His second son Prince Muazzam came out to be successful in the War of succession, who succeeded him under the title Bahadur Shah I (also known as Shah Alam)

What mistakes did Aurangzeb made?

He was strictly religious, he did not respect the belief of the majority of Hindus and imposed Ziziya tax on Non-muslims, which ignited the revolt against him. He was constantly away from his capital, his policy of heavy taxes put hardship on his people, the Hindus lost trust in him and resented him. he also forbid non-Muslims to be awarded high administrative positions. Aurangzeb did not trust his kith or kin and he kept most of all the power in his hands as a result when he died in (1707) there was no one good enough to take over the throne. Aurangzeb s focus on reducing the threat of rebels and expanding his empire made him unaware of the increasing powers in the west and therefore left the empire in an desperate state after his death.

How many countries had been in war with England?

In my view every single country in the world apart from the following: Burundi,Cape Verde,Dominican Republic,French Southern Territories,Guinea-Bissau Macedonia,Northern Mariana Islands,Sao Tome And Principe,United States Minor Outlying Islands,Western Sahara. This is an indirect answer however, since this does take into account the following: 1) previous sovereignty by third parties of land now sovereign itself. 2)attempted seizures 3)established bases 4)engagements within territories against third parties. 5)wars of independence against third parties backed by the government. 6)dominions, condominiums, colonies, mandates, occupations, invasions, civil wars, conflicts, dependencies, discovery naming and exploration, raids, indirect invasion by association, low intensity war,NATO actions, protectorates, peacekeeping, declarations of war, territories, gunboat diplomacy.Revolutionary support acts, militarily aided humanitarian aid, rescue missions and claims. 7)arguable incidences of informal empire by preference of trade, investment, property and industry backed by military assistance or threat. 8)Major incidents not resulting in war but with diplomatic victory. 9)Territories by association. 10) wars as England prior to 1707. The reason I have listed all of these is that native populations, lands, third parties, sovereignty or economies have all at one time or another been directly or indirectly affected by these "actions". Perhaps this is not a very good answer but there we are.

How far did the Mughal weaknesses from 1707 make decline inevitable?

The Mughal's didn't follow any laws of succession. each time a ruler died, a war of succession started between the brothers for the throne. this weakened the mughal Empire, especially after Aurangzeb's death. the nobles by sitting with one contender or the other, increased there power. Aurangzeb failed to realize that the vast mughal empire depended on the willing support of the people. he lost the support of the rajputs who had acted as pillars of support, but Aurangzeb's policies turned them to bitter faces. the wars with the rajputs had drained the resources of the mughal empire. Aurangzeb's long wars in the south had further drained the treasure of the mughal empire. the invasions of Nadir shah and Ahmed shah Abdali resulted in further drainage of their wealth. these invasions of Nadir shah shook the stability of the empire. the mughal empire had become too large to be controlled by any ruler from one center for example Delhi. nearby provinces become independent. the rise of independent states led to the decline of mughal empire.
