That site was located by the mother of Constantine and in reality, has little merit as being the true site. The main reason being... the Israelites went to Sinai after crossing the Red Sea and the crossing would have placed them on the west side of the Sea. The traditional Mt. Sinai is on the east side of the Sea. The general and growing consensus now is the blackened mountain in Southern Saudia Arabia known as Jebel el Lawz is likely the true site. Now to answer your question, probably about 500 miles on the latter, and 350-400 miles if the former.
