Nine blocks due east on Adams St. If you wish to take public transportation, walk one block north from the Canal Street exit of Union Station to Monroe Street and take the number 14 (Jeffrey Express) bus to Wabash Avenue. Get off and walk one more block east to Michigan Avenue and you will be there. The best way back by bus is to go across the street from the Art Institute and take the number 151 (Sheridan) bus. It will let you off across the street from the main Canal Street entrance to Union Station. The cost is $2.25 per person per ride with $1 off for 7 to 11 year olds. Children with full fare riding adult are free. Union Station (Canal St.) is located 3/4 mile west on Jackson Blvd. from the Art Institute of Chicago (Michigan Ave.).
