The best thing to do when your ankle keeps popping when you bend it and apply pressure is to visit a doctor. Even without any sound of popping the ankle may need to have a X-Ray.
Flex your foot
Try the joints: hip, knee, ankle.

It depends how far you bend it.
The top your foot is considered the dorsal side and so bending the foot upwards at the ankle is known as dorsiflexion.
Hinge joints such as the elbow and knee, ball and socket joints such as the shoulder and hip can bend, and pivot joints such as the wrist and ankle are also able to bend to a lesser degree.
You should ice the ankle immediately. Ice ankle in 15 to 20 minute intervals. There will likely be swelling and bruising to the ankle. This is common. See you doctor.
