It depends on what you do. My weight loss journey was something I struggled with for years. I tried being more active, eating healthy, etc but everyone is different and it just didn't work for me. I was losing maybe 1lb per month which was crazy slow for how much work I was putting in. I found this morning trigger which is what turned things around for me. I've lost 32 lbs in 3 months so far and I've always been someone with a "slower metabolism". I have a link in my bio if you want to learn more.
Eat healthy and unprocessed food
Drink plenty of water
Eat every meal
Do 20 minutes of exercise everyday
You can lose 2-3lbs or more per week by drinking 1 gal. water per day, try to walk at least one mile and watching your daily carb intake. Stay away from rice, white bread and any ice cream, fatty fried foods. Bake, broil or BBQ chicken or fish with vegies. Red meat ok but not that often, and a great daily multi-vitamin, this diet has work for me and have lost 23lb in 5 weeks.
The method above does work, but mainly on younger people and it is not very healthy for your metabolism since the weight is being lost way too fast. You don't want to get carried away, so its best to only lose up to one pound per week maximum.
