you need to check if you have key tones and if you do drink lots of water.

Yikes, 38 is very low!! I would not recommend a banana for treating low blood sugar, it isn't absorbed fast enough. You need juice, regular soda, or glucose tabs. Start with 15-20 grams of carbohydrates (1/2 cup of juice or soda) and check blood sugar again in 15 minutes. If it is still low, have another 15-20 grams and keep checking every 15 minutes until back in a normal range.

The previous answer would be great advice if the blood sugar was high, say 380. Perhaps someone misread the question?
