A Yamaha Banshee runs at 180F, they certainly run hot. The coolers will help a lot but they like to run hotter than the four strokes.
60-65
I run a 50:1 ratio in mine, with slight mods.(jetted and pipes) I have a stock 01 and mix is 300ml to 10ltrs
In the long run a banshee for sure u can do so much stuff in mods on a banshee plus its a 2 stroke! Ya a YFZ is fast off the bat but a u can't do as much with it a banshee handles mods and engine work way better! So I would say a banshee all the way!
they change the compression of the engine 21cc is stock i.e. pump gas 18cc have to run on 110 octane
They can be geared to run 100 mph but a stock 450 shoud be 90 to mid 90's.
my friend has a 2001 model (no difference) and we used a radar gun to test it. on flat paved ground (the atv is stock) it went 85. beat that. just to show that rednecks can go faster than regular people!
well a banshee is a two stroke motor which means you have to mix gasoline and oil together Use a fully-synthetic 2stroke mix, such as potoline MX5 for untuned bikes or MX7 for tuned bikes (ie bikes with exhaust system)
of course the yfz 450 the 450 even has an advantage over the 660 i ran mine against the 450 and it beat me in a short run by a tire long run not a chance and i smoke banshees with my raptor yamaha450- 1-4 gears on yfz it will be winning and 5th gear the banshee will start pulling on it slowly....this is because the banshee can turn more rpms since it has a 6th gear the yfz only has 5 and tops out
The saying run around like a Banshee originated from America. It originated from the American tales of the Banshees,
I just bought 2002 yamaha blaster about a week ago and ran it next to a truck and it run between 90 and 92 mph.
stock it would run like a 14.3 on quarter mile at about 87 mph
