Depends on how much cervical fluid you have and what quality it is. If you have creamy cervical fluid all 4 days before you ovulate the sperm could potentially survive for that long (although it doesn't usually survive longer than three days).

After conception when is a good time to take pregnancy test?

# Conception usually occurs about 5-7 days after intercourse # Your most fertile period is about 5 days before ovulation # For most(but not all) women ovulation occurs about 14 days prior to her period. 4 days before expected period= 51% accurate3 days before expected period= 82% accurate2 days before expected period= 90% accurate1 day before expected period =95% accuratethe day of expected period =99% accurate Here is a link to a website that will calculate the probability of your pregnancy: http://www.thepregnancytest.com/ To ensure the best results: * Take the test in the morning, if possible, because your hCG (pregnancy hormone) levels are at it's highest * Don't drink a bunch of fluids before taking the test because it will dilute your urine and can affect the results * Take the test no more than 1 day before expected period. Although some test say that you can see results up to 5 days before your missed period, the percentage of accuracy is very low. * urinate for as long as possible on the foam-like strip * Check the results in the window frame of time suggested by the instructions of the pregnancy test.

You always feel implantation the day after intercourse This time you felt implantation straight after sex Can the egg be fertilised and implant that quickly or would this be from previous intercourse?

It is not possible to feel implantation the day after sex. You might feel something... that would be ovulation. You cannot conceive a child after ovulation is complete (about a 24 hour process) Implantation CAN occur as early as FIVE DAYS AFTER ovulation. Most often, implantation occurs between 5-12 days after ovulation. You may or may not feel ovulation or implantation. You may or may not have some spotting with either. Implantation spotting doesn't mean that's when implantation happened... sometimes the sloughed off uterine lining, from where the egg implanted on the surface of the uterus, makes its way out and that is implantation spotting. To give a timeline: ~The first day of menstrual bleeding is Cycle Day 1 (CD1.) Most woman have 28 day cycles (or several days more or less) so their fertile period would most likely occur around CD14. Watery, slippery, clear mucus indicates high fertility. Accompanied with that, women often find that their sex drive drastically increases during this fertile time... as a natural instinct to reproduce. ~Having sex up to 7 days before ovulation (Cycle Days 8-14 for the standard cycling woman) can result in pregnancy. That's the possible "shelf life" of sperm... who are waiting in the fallopian tubes when the egg is released (ovulation) if you've had intercourse during that time. Once a sperm fights his way into the egg

Can a woman get pregnant on the day of ovulation?

Ovulation is a one day thing. To get pregnant you need to have sperm inside of your body waiting for the egg or you need to have sex the day of ovulation and at the latest the day after ovulation to become pregnant. Keep in mind sperm can live 3-5 days in ideal conditions inside of the woman's body. However, once the egg is released (ovulation occurs) the egg is only able to be fertilized for upto 24-36 hours and then expires. To become pregnant your best bet is to have sex the day before ovulation, the day of ovulation, and the day after ovulation. You are, however, considered fertile up to 4-5 days before ovulation occurs...due to the fact that sperm can survive in the reproductive organs of a woman for a few days.

What are the chances of getting pregnant 5 days before period?

The chances are very small, on average. However, theoretically, you can still be in your fertile window and the shorter your average cycle the higher the probability of conception. As an example, for a 27 days cycle the probability of being in the fertile window on day 22 (i.e. 5 days before the start of your new cycle) is 4%. This does not mean you have a 4% chance of getting pregnant, you have 4% chance to be in the fertile window. As a comparison, on day 11, the probability of being in the fertile window would be 70%. To be sure about your fertile and infertile days it is advisable to keep track of an ovulation calendar. You can use it to conceive but also for natural family planning (to prevent conception).

Can you get preagnant before ovulation?

Sperm can live in the female body for up to seven days, on average 3 - 4 days, so if you have sex before you ovulate, but then ovulate a few days later, the sperm may be alive and result in pregnancy.

Yes, you're able to get pregnant if your period lasts for 3-4 days. How long menstruation lasts doesn't impact whether or not you can get pregnant, what matters if ovulation and the fertile phase. If you want to avoid pregnancy then always assume you could be fertile and use birth control.

Can you have your period 4 days after conception?

Ovulation generally occurs 14 days before your period is due so no, you should not be menstruating that close to possibly conceiving. There is also no way to know if you conceived four days after sex, a pregnancy does not begin until implantation about 10 days after ovulation.
