600 bucks is the usual price. The subframe does NOT have to be removed, it does have to be lowered slightly if anything. It is possible to have enough room to get the clutch out without lowering the subframe but room is extremely tight. Should be a 6 hr job

How much does it generally cost to replace and install a 1997 Saturn SL2 clutch?

Well, Generally speaking a Saturn Clutch is expensive, more than a Honda or Toyota.I own a 2000 Saturn SL2, had the clutched replaced about a month ago, for the whole cluthing assembly it cost me $945 parts and labor. labor took about 3 days. The mechanic said that saturns don't have a bleed valve for the clutch lines so they had some problems with it. but the got er' done

How do you adjust the clutch in a 1993 Saturn SL?

The 1993 Saturn used a self adjusting hydraulic clutch system on the manual transmission vehicles. As such, the clutch never needs adjustment. If you're having trouble with the clutch, it is most likely because of a worn or damaged clutch assembly.
