Well, Generally speaking a Saturn Clutch is expensive, more than a Honda or Toyota.
I own a 2000 Saturn SL2, had the clutched replaced about a month ago, for the whole cluthing assembly it cost me $945 parts and labor. labor took about 3 days. The mechanic said that saturns don't have a bleed valve for the clutch lines so they had some problems with it. but the got er' done
~$600
no not at all not enough room.if it's standered and you need to replace the clutch you have just enough room to remove and install the clutch remember cut the clutch tool in half
Remove the transmission. Remove the clutch plate and springs. Remove the clutch. Reverse the process to install the new clutch.
No clutch cable... Saturns use a hydraulic clutch system for all manual transmissions.
if it is anything like my 97' Saturn Sl2. The engine must be dropped out to dismount the transmission.
FOR ME THERE IS NO WAY TO BLEED A CLUTCH ON A SATURN BUT IF YOU REPALCE ONE PART SOMETIME ITS POSSIBLE. 20 % CHANCE .THE ONLY WAY ITS TO REPLACE THE SLAVE AND THE CYLINDER AS A SEALED KIT
The clutch on a Saturn is not adjustable. If your having problems with the clutch, first thing you should do is check the fluid level. there is a small resiorvior located to the right of your brake master cylinder, on the firewall. If the unit is full, you may need to replace your clutch.
It will cost approximately $450 to replace the clutch in your 1997 Ford Escort. The clutch will cost approximately $200 and require four hours of labor to install.
This requires special tools to remove and install the ac clutch and bearing. The air gap on the ac clutch must be done during install.
There are a few different advantages of a centrifugal clutch over a normal clutch. Generally, it is easier to use, and is extremely easy to install for a low price.
You have to take the transmission completely off of the vehicle. Also when replacing clutch you have to replace the slave cylinder.Mace
