probably means u need to change the coolant for the car, leaking coolant sumwhere
Leaking or loosing coolant? If it is leaking then where is the leak? If it is just loosing coolant with no apparent leak, then you more than likely have a blown head gasket or cracked head. If there is coolant in the oil, or white sweet smelling smoke coming from the exhaust you definitely have an internal problem. Serious engine damage will occur if you continue to drive this vehicle.
Where is it leaking from? Could be front or rear seal or coolant lines Did you change gasket when you changed fluid?
When changing the thermostat on a Nissan 300zx first drain the coolant from the engine. Then find the lower coolant hose on the radiator. Trace the hose to the thermostat housing. Remove the housing to uncover the thermostat and replace the unit with a new thermostat.
They fixed the replaced the raditor and it still leaks in front of the vehicle.
If it is the rear main seal that is leaking, the tranny must be separated from the engine housing.
One can change the thermostat on a Chevy car by draining the coolant and disconnecting the upper radiator hose. The thermostat housing is then unbolted, the old thermostat removed, and a new unit placed in the housing.
the sensor is on the the thermostat housing, youll see one on top(fan sensor)the other is underneath the housing.the housing will have to be removed to change it
Get something for the coolant to go into like a bucket. Remove the lower radiator hose from the radiator and also remove the radiator cap to help and drain into bucket.
Should be located in a removable housing at the engine end of the upper radiator hose Drain about 1 gallon of coolant from the radiator Remove this housing Note how thermostat is installed in housing Clean both surfaces Replace thermostat and gasket Replace housing Re-fill coolant slowly to prevent an airlock Start engine and look for leaks Run engine to normal operating temperature with heater on Re-check coolant level
Drain about 1 gallon of coolant from radiator Follow upper radiator hose to engine housing Remove housing Note how thermostat is instaled in housing Clean both ssurfaces Replace thermostat and gasket Re-fill coolant slowly to prevent an "airlock" Start engine and check for leaks Run engine to normal operating temperature with heater on Check coolant level
generally the thermostat is located in the housing where the top radiator hose connects to engine.to change thermostat, you dump coolant, remove radiator hose from this housing.then remove housing, remove thermostat, install new one(making sure it is facing right way up).then replace housing, replace hose.fill with coolant
