To change the wiper motor I find its best to remove the wiper box;
1) Disconnect Negave Battery Cable
2) Uncover wiper arm nuts, and remove wipers.
3) Open hood and disconnect wiper motor connector behind battery
4) Disconnect washer hose (above drive belts) and clamp or plug.
5) Disconnect wiper box drain hoses (left and right)
6) Remove wiper box strainer lid. Torx screws across, and the 1/4 turn clamps at left and right that look like Phillips screws.
7) Remove wiper box hangers, nuts on studs at base of windshield, and in wiper box.
8) remove wiper box mounting screws (through rear of wiper box into body metal).
9) Remove wiper box from vehicle.
NOTE POSITION OF WIPER LINKAGE! USE DIGITAL CAMERA IF AVAILABLE!
10) Unplug Wiper Motor.
11) Undo Nut and Remove wiper linkage from motor
12) Remove mounting screws and remove motor.
It may be possible to change the motor without removing the wiper box, but it doesn't take that long to remove, and its a very awkward reach from any direction.
HINT: With the wiper box out, the spark plugs, wires, and oxygen sensor are all easily accessible.
