Iran is not a monarchy; it has no king. It is a theocracy, ruled by the Ayatollah Khamenei as Grand Ayatollah. However, prior to 1979, Iran was a monarchy and had been for over 2000 years.
Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has: Played Himself - Supreme Leader in "Frontline" in 1983. Played himself in "National Geographic Explorer" in 1985. Played himself in "BBC World News" in 1997. Played himself in "A Decade Under the Influence" in 2003. Played himself in "Iran and the West" in 2009. Played himself in "The Green Wave" in 2010.
There is no dictatorship in Iran. Iran is a democracy based on Islamic law. Islamic law restricts freedom of pornography in society. Most Iranians are Muslims and agree to these rules. Some of the people of Iran do not agree to these rules and want more freedom.

THE ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF IRAN is the only country in the world that is currently (or has ever been) ruled by an Ayatollah. (Previous Shiite Theocracies, like the Safavid Empire, were still ruled by monarchs and the Ayatollahs had an advisory role, but no direct power.)
THE ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF IRAN is the only country in the world, and specifically in the Middle East, that is currently (or has ever been) ruled by an Ayatollah. (Previous Shiite Theocracies, like the Safavid Empire, were still ruled by monarchs and the Ayatollahs had an advisory role, but no direct power.)
The "self-defense" part is irrelevant; no father cares about the reason that someone has killed his son, only that his son has been killed. As for Ayatollah Khamenei's reaction, it would be vindictive towards whoever the culprit was. If it was an internal Iranian issue, he would have a purge in that area of the government or country. If it was an international issue, he would likely respond through one of Iran's several proxy armies, like Hezbollah, Hamas, the Houthis, Asa'ib al-Haqq, or Jaysh al-Mahdi.
Iran has been a kingdom and the kings have been many. After the revolution in 1979 Iran has had two leaders of the Islamic. Seyyed Ruhollah Khomeini and Seyed Ali Khamenei.
The Shah had been allowed into the United States for cancer treatment.=.]

Brutal dictators aren't "allowed" to come to power, they force their way into it. A few prime examples who took over after World War II: Iraq's Saddam Hussein, Cuba's Fidel Castro, the Kim dynasty in North Korea, the Ayatollah Khomeini of Iran, Mullah Mohammed Omar in Afghanistan, and Romania's Nicolae Ceaucescu.
Yes, you should be able to use energy from solar panels, even when there is no electricity in your area, depending on how much power has been stored by your panels. Also, some solar panels combine there power with that of your normal electrical power and, in that case, you might not be able to. In short, in really just depends on your situation. I would suggest trying it next time your area power is out.
