God gave the responsibility to the Jews to keep His Word - called 'the oracles of God' (see Romans 3:2; Hebrews 5:12; 1Peter4:11). The 'Old Testament' works were written generally speaking from 1400 BC to 400 BC. The 'New Testament' writings from 40 AD to 100 AD. Yet even many hardened skeptics and critics of the Bible admit today that the Scripture has been transmitted over the centuries far more accurately than any other ancient document.
See Matthew 5:18 and 2 Timothy 3:16-17 to more fully understand this is God's will.
Through The Bible. It is His word.
God inspired people to write the Bible through the Holy Spirit He sent to earth. But God is the MAIN author of the bible.
In the Bible, God communicated with Moses through a burning bush and directly speaking to him.
If you ask a Christian, they will say the Bible was written by many people over the years, including Moses, David, and Jesus' disciples, and that through them God communicated His word.
The bible is God's holy word. He speaks to every one of us through the bible. For every problem in your life, there is a solution to it in God's holy word. The bible guides us, and helps us through this tough life, until we get to heaven.
The Noble Quran is the scripture of the Muslims; it was revealed by God through Arcangel Gabriel to prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him). The Quran in Arabic is the real and authentic word of God. The Quran has been preserved in its original form since it was revealed more than 1400 years ago. The Quran is preserved word by word by writing and memorization as well as it's preserved in meaning and interepretaion. Thx.
Christians use The Bible to learn about God. The important thing is that God is alive and so can speak to people through the words in the Bible. Ephesians 6 v 17 : "...and take the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God" (NLT)
God speaks to us through the Bible, they say it is the living word of God, as well as through our conscience. Reading the Bible sharpens your conscience so you know if its God who is talking to you throughout the day and when it comes time to make bigger decisions. On the other side we talk to God through prayer. So we might ask a question in prayer and find an answer through a strong feeling that is confirmed by what the Bible teaches.
The bible is a compilation of 66 separate small books written at different times by numerous authors. It is the inspired word of God, the writers guided by the Holy Spirit. The bible had devine protection through some of the darkest times in Christian history and has survived thousands of years basically intact.
John Wycliffe believed the path of God was through the Bible.
Primarily the Bible is God's revelation of himself through history. The Bible starts at Creation (what we would call the 'Big bang') and progresses through the history of the fledgeling Jewish nation and God's revelation of himself to them through the prophets and the first covenant between God and humans in that God would promise to look after and love his people. Ultimately the Bible completes God's revelation through the second covenant - the second agreement between God and us - in the form of Jesus - the ultimate manifestation of God's love. Finally, the Bible finishes with the end of the world when jesus returns as judge.
There are several available explanations, depending on your beliefs: # The Bible was only written by men, who did not fully understand the word of God. The Bible should not be read literally. # God really did reveal himself through the Bible, but science is wrong. This is the position of some creationists. # God really did reveal himself through the Bible, but we do not understand the Bible, or the original text of the Bible has changed so much that it no longer says what it should say. # God is not infallible, and when he tried to reveal himself, there were some mistakes made. # There is no God. The Bible was only written by men, who my well have been pious believers but were not inspired.
