The collectivization (nationalization of private land and merging it into big units of land, where former land owners had to work for a salary) crippled the Lithuanian agriculture, and it still has not regained full potential to this day. During the rule of Soviet Union, moral decay has made way into many societies of Lithuania, still being a problem today. Corruption is also a "relic" from the USSR.
