The ash from volcanoes has a big effect on both the air and land. Not only do volcanoes spew out ashes, volcanoes let out gases which can be very harmful. The gases that are let out, are the same as some of the ones we produce, like carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and sulfur oxide.
Thanks (14 yrs old)
There are smallamount of volcanoes. They emit so2 and co2 gases.
Ozone layer is most affected. It is a pool of ozone molecules.
Early volcanoes discharged different combinations of gases into the Earth's atmosphere creating rain, which cooled the planet and formed solid land masses, and every other element discovered presently.
The earths first atmosphere was created by the methane, carbon dioxide, sulphur oxides and water vapor that volcanoes were pumping out. Oxygen started to come in noticeable quantities once life had formed. Nitrogen is inert, so doesn't do anything.
stars moon god chuck Norris earths gravity the sun the heat clouds other planets the atmosphere
However, volcanoes are essential to earths survival they act like a safety valve for the planet (it releases pressure)
The particles outside the Earths atmosphere are called, meteoroids.
how do geologists think earths atmosphere is formed
Volcanoes erupt gases that change Earth's atmosphere. The volcanic ash and clouds can affect the air and atmosphere
Volcanoes are essentially holes in the earths surface through which magma and lava can erupt. when pressure builds up below the earths crust, magma is then forced violently out of the volcanoes.
