Vegetables are healthy foods because the requirement of minerals and vitamins is met by eating vegetables.

Vegetables also provide fiber and may reduce the risk of health issues such as Heart disease, cancer, type 2 Diabetes, kidney stones, and bone loss.

Vegetables are low in calories and fat and have no cholesterol.
