Pretty damn hot i burnt my leg on one three years ago and i still have a huge scar.
That's all down to how hard you run the engine. They can get glowing hot up by the exhaust ports.
The average temp. of a motor cycle exhaust pipe is 600*F or 315*C !!
The petrol holder could leak and a spark could ignite it. The hot exhaust pipe could also cause petrol to ignite.
Due to the type of metal used in the production of the exhaust pipes, it is very normal for any motorcycle exhaust pipe to turn red when running, especially at an idle. When the bike is moving the air cools the pipe. That is why the street bikes have chrome covers, so you don't see the red/blue pipe.
It could be condensation from hot exhaust gases on the cool exhaust pipe.
a backfire is caused by incorrect timing or not enough back pressure in the exhaust pipe
The Rinehart web site is the best place to purchase a Rinehart motorcycle exhaust pipe. J & P Cycles is also a good retailer with stores (in Florida and Iowa), catalogs, and a web site.
I don't think so. Pvc pipe cannot even used for hot water distribution. I don't know how hot the engine exhaust is, but I'm pretty sure it would melt the pipe. ( I am a master plumber.) The temperature of the exhaust just after the catalytic converter can reach 700 degrees F.
put a bigger cannon on. tho if you go too big you'll loose power
No. The YZ motorcycle is a two stroke so it has to use a much larger exhaust to expel more gases emitted by the harder working engine. Since the TT-R motorcycle is a four stroke it fires every two revolutions (Eight strokes, so it does not need as big of an exhaust pipe to get rid of the gases.
likely made of a different material
it is burning way too rich.
