Assuming you are talking about older vehicles that had ignition points, the acc mode would let you listen to the radio while parked with the engine off without burning up the points.

yes as long it was weird to the ignition so when the button is push it would start the car just like turn the key
They do have ignition keys. You must have the key on your person for the start button to work.
To program the key fobs for the Kia Sorento, one must connect terminal 6 of the diagnostics board with the battery using the wires from jumper cables. One must then put the key into the ignition and put it in the "On" position. Be careful not to actually start the car. While the car is on, hold the "Lock" button on the fob down for a few seconds to program.

They had push-button start on all vehicles back in the 20s 30s 40s and 50s but you still had to insert and turn a key to the on position before pushing the starter button. But I assume you mean key-less ignition systems as we see on modern vehicles. Cadillac introduced this in 2007 on the CTS. Mercedes Benz was the first company to install this Siemens system in 1998 on the W220 S-Class.
Vehicles won't start when overheated.Alot of vehicles act this way as a safety mech. to help protect your engine from damage. At a certain temp. the factory ECU disengages the ignition.

With the ignition off press and hold the odometer button (it is on the instrument cluster), turn the ignition on but do not start the car, continue holding down the odo button until the oil light begins and ends flashing. Turn ignition off, start car to make sure it worked.
Although this may not be an obvious solution to the problem, to remove the key from the ignition you should:Pull the key out of the ignition.Notwithstanding this bluntness, in some vehicles there is an additional catch or button that must be released before the key can be removed. Hold this button or catch down whilst pulling key out at the same time. As well as this, the key can only be pulled out (in most vehicles) when the key is turned to the 'Off' position. Ensure it isn't on the 'Auto', 'On', 'Start' or any other setting when you try to take it out. also make sure the transmission lever is in PARK
First, turn on ignition and hold down right trip button while turning off ignition. Then, turn ignition back on and release right trip button. And then, turn left trip button to the right and release. Finally, turn off ignition. Service indicator should be reset when you next start the vehicle.
