Unlike both Christianity and Islam, Judaism is not based on the revelation of HaShem (The Creator) to a single person. This means that Judaism is based on national revelation. As such, the role of Moshe (Moses) in Judaism is very different from that of Jesus in Christianity and Muhammad in Islam. Although Moshe is considered to be the greatest prophet in Judaism, he was one of thousands of prophets. And although he was a strong leader, there were many other strong leaders after him.

Moshe was also a strong example that we are not to blindly follow HaShem but rather, we are to question everything, including HaShem.

The stories of Moses Jesus and Muhammad are alike in that each of them is said to have provided revelations foundational to their respective religions. All three experienced miracles, although only Jesus is credited with being able to perform miracles at will.

A semantic difference is that Moses almost certainly never existed except in myth; Jesus may well have existed, although most of the stories about him are not historical; Muhammad almost certainly did exist, although a few scholars argue that the story of Muhammad developed in the centuries after he is said to have lived. Jesus is most different from Moses and Muhammad because they were only prophets, whereas Jesus was the son of God. This belief reached its fullest extent in John's Gospel, where he is described as divine and pre-existing.
