Islam is the religion which is most coherent with the rules of science. Quran has many verses which relate to the modern science discoveries. The following answer will briefly explain the relation of Quran and Science.

Physics and Astronomy:

1:Allah says in the Quran:

"Do not the Unbelievers see That the heavens and the earth

Were joined together (as one Unit of Creation), before We split them

apart?"

[Al-Qur'an 21:30]

The above verse of Quran explains a widely accepted phenomenon of sicence: The Big Bang.

2:According to many astrophysicists The universe in its beginning was initially condensed into a mass known as primary nebula and then there was a universal explosion known as the big bang which split it into many galaxies.

Moreover scientists say that the initial celestial matter was in form of smoke and gas.

The following ayah in Quran describes this phenomenon:

"Moreover, He Comprehended In His design the sky, And it had been

(as) smoke: He said to it And to the earth: 'Come ye together, Willingly

or unwillingly.' They said: 'We do come (Together), in willing

obedience.'" [Al-Qur'an 41:11]

How can a book which was revealed 1400 years ago be so coherent with the scientific knowledge discerned just nearly a century ago?

3:For a log time it was thought that all the celestial bodies were rotating around the earth, which was considered stationary. After the publication of Astronomia Nova in 1609 by Johannes Keppler it became clear that all the planets were revolving around the sun. After this discovery another misconception took place and it was thought that the sun is stationary.

Allah says in Quran:

"It is He who created The Night and the Day, And the

sun and the moon: All (the celestial bodies) Swim along, each in its

Rounded course." [Al-Qur'an 21:33]

Again, this knowledge was just discerned in modern times how can any person from nomadic Arabia know such fact? This points towards the divine source of Quran.

4: Interstellar matter:

Until previous times it was thought that the space out of the planets and stars is just vacuum which was disproved recently by the discovery of the interstellar matter.

This fact was described in Quran 1400 years ago.

"He Who created the heavens And the earth and all That is between." [Al-Qur'an 25:59]
