Is Ask.com better than this website?
That is an unfair question because the goal of the sites are different. It would be better to say that they compliment each other. I think WikiAnswers is better than ask because it gives more information.

Although WikiAnswers and Answers.com used to be different sites, now they are part of the same site. Answers.com is the overall brand for two main sites and some other minor ones.
