A neutron star is the remnant of a supernova explosion. Such stars are composed almost entirely of neutrons.

A typical neutron star has a mass between 1.35 and about 2.1 solar masses, with a corresponding radius of about 12 km

A neutron star is so dense that one teaspoon (5 millilitres) of its material would have a mass over 5 trillion kg. The force of gravity is so strong that an object falling from just one meter high would take a microsecond to hit the surface but at around 2,000 kilometres per second, or 4.3 million miles per hour.

A neutron star is composed primarily of neutrons, according to theory. This extremely dense star is formed when a star explodes in what is called a (Type II, Type Ib, or Type Ic) supernova. A link to the Wikipedia article on the neutron star is provided.

A normal neutron star.

All neutron stars, when formed will spin rapidly - only after an incredibly long time will they stop spinning.

However, are you confused with a pulsar - which is a neutron star.

Neutron Star:The Stellar cores that remain after the stars have exploded as supernovae. Then if the core remaining is in between 1.5 to 3 solar mass (It is the mass of our sun) it contracts to form a neutron star.

Pulsar:A spinning neutron star emits radio waves commonly known as a pulsar.

It is still called a neutron star. Depending on how we observe it, it may also be called a pulsar.

When a collapsed core becomes so dense only neutrons can exist there a what is formed?

A Neutron Star

What is A rapidly spinning neutron is called?

A young neutron star. Really - that is what a neutron star is. If the neutron star's magnetic field is pointed towards Earth, then it is referred to as a pulsar - because of it's rapid pulsations [See related question] but it is still a neutron star.

Is a pulsar a neutron star?

Yes. A pulsar is a rapidly spinning neutron star.

What is the temperature of the core of a neutron star?

Depends on the age of the neutron star. As a neutron star no longer has any method to produce heat, it will slowly cool over time. A young neutron star will have a core temperature of about 106 kelvin.

Are pulsars a kind of neutron star?

Pulsars are not only a kind of neutron star, they are neutron stars. See related question.
