What is the most important Electronic discovery?

It's a rather subjective question, but I imagine the most common answer would be "the valve" or "the transistor."

How do you light the pilot light of a Pentair MiniMax 100MV gas pool heater?

Pentair Mini Max does not have a pilot light, it has a Electronic ignition. If your having trouble getting it to fire up you could have a problem with a plugged burner, bad ignition or a bad valve.

Why transistor is used as an amplifier?

A transistor acts like a valve or gate that opens and closes, and allows a current to flow. Since the amount of current that flows is controlled by another input, they can be used to make amplifiers. Carbon microphones and vacuum tubes have the same property, and so have also been used to make amplifiers historically.

What is transition mode pulse width modulation?

electronic shifter solenoid-pwmA P.W.M modulator valve is an electronic shifter controlled by an electronic pulse to shift your cars transmission, normally refered to as an electronic shifter solenoid.

How does a semiconductor work?

we know that in a transistor we have three types of regions: EMITTER, COLLECTOR, BASE, and we know that emitter is highly doped, so charge carriers are very high, so resistance is very less, and on the other side collector is moderately doped so charge carriers are less, so resistance is very high. So from the above concept we conclude that in a transistor current is flowing from low resistance to high resistance. for example the 100 electrons are moving from emitter to base, in base only some (4 electrons) of the electrons are neutralized, and remaining 96 electrons are moved to collector terminal through high resistance path. so now same current flowing through high resistance so voltage amplified.

Where is the pcv valve located on a Honda Pilot 2005?

The PCV valve on my 2005 Pilot is bolted horizontally into the side of the valve cover right next to where the oil dipstick is.

Why isn't the gas hot water pilot not lighting?

Gas not turned on to water heater. Gas valve on water heater not set to pilot setting. Faulty gas valve. Igniter for lighting pilot not working.

Does a 1995 Taurus have a modulator valve on the transmission?

No, it has an electronically controlled valve body, there is no modulator valve.

What do you think would happen if transistors were not invented?

we would still have valve tv and radios the size of a briefcase.... computers as we know them would not exist but they would exist filling a building the size of an office block doing the work a credit card sized calculator can do now. the original LEO (lyons electronic office) a valve computer, did payroll and simple (say a small modern shop) stock control for a few dozen companies in central london in the 1950/60s.. it had hundreds of workers and was the size of a modern hypermarket... the computing power was similar to the original sinclair zx80. transistors were an accident... they were trying to make a "solid state valve" and got the bipolar transistor by accident (transistors are current controlled whilst valves are voltage controlled).... the closest we have got to the solid state valve is the multi-vertical fet used in microprocessors. GE invented the transistor and saw no point in it... it was "bought" by "mr sony" who made the first transistor radio.... the rest is history GE could not see the point of making "radiograms" smaller than big bits of furniture

What has the author A M Ball written?

A. M. Ball has written: 'Radio valve and transistor data'

When pilot light goes out on a boiler is gas escaping?

No. The pilot valve is closed when no flame is sensed by the thermocouple.

What is wrong if you cannot get gas to your pilot light and you have already changed the electric control valve?

have you checked to see that gas is getting to the valve if it is the pilot could be stopped up pull it try to clean it soak in spray carb cleaner ect. blow out with compressed air or replace with new oneAnswerTake the tubing loose from the pilot assembly and depress the pilot valve on the gas valve to see if gas is getting to the assembly. If it is, you have a clogged pilot orifice; take a thin piece of wire and clean it out. If you have no gas getting to the orifice, you still have a bad gas valve or your gas is not turned on.

Where is the transmission modulator valve located on a 1996 Chevy Corsica?

Your transmission is most likely a 4T60E. If so, it has no modulator valve. This transmission is electronically controlled from the ECM. Line pressure, which is what the old modulator valve controlled, is now controlled by an internal pcm solenoid.

Why is it necessary to have a pilot safety shutoff on a gas furnace?

so when the pilot goes out the gas valve is shut off
