It isn't. It all sounds like a glorious solution to poverty, etc., etc. - share the wealth, everything shared out equally - but it doesn't work. There have always been those communists who are more equal than others.

How many times do you people need to be told. Communism is a system of econmics and democracy is a system of government.

Communism means that the creation and distibution of a nations wealth is under control of the state. Democracy is a form of government in which all citizens have an equal say in the decisions that affect their lives. One cannot be better than the other as they are not the same things.

You can be a communist state and have a capatilist economy - try China!

There are plenty of democratic countries who border on a communist economic model - try Venezueala

Communism and democracy are not mutually exclusive terms. You can have democratic communism or a communistic democracy.

At a very basal level:

democracy means every 'member' gets a say in the governing process.

communism means there is no such thing as private property.

Belief that there is a difference or a conflict between these two terms has been fostered by capitalistic societies attempting to discourage communism by implanting the fear of 'loss of democracy'.

  • In communism the country is ruled by the Proletariat(the poorest of the working poor).
  • In democracy the country is ruled by all the people.

Of course no country has ever had either type of government. Therefor neither exists.

Communism (a classless stateless society) includes democratic control of production and distribution. Democracy is not possible in a society with classes and governments and markets.

Communism is a form of economic organisation and democracy is a regime type. The two are not comparable; you could have a country that is both communist and democratic.
