people for fish hit the correl and the waves cary it to the shore and beach it
You would know if coral is under physical stress if it is bleached. Coral bleaching occurs when the coral polyps (the miniscule animals that coral is made of) expel their algal cells, and the coral looks white. If the coral stays bleached for too long, then it can die.
algae's which r not bleached
The Sea temp increased 2 degrees and 90% of the coral reef around the Indian ocean was killed or bleached
Many things are causing coral reef to get bleached. I think there are three main causes. For example, by just touching the coral with your hand or feet, kills the coral polyps. Also, overfishing kills it too. However, global warming is warming the water and not letting the coral reef or creatures of the reef survive. So, those are the ways that coral gets bleached! --Michelle from NJ...(6th gradeee)..........<3!
This is a bit misleading because the word "coral" is misspelled "choral." Coral bleaching kills living coral organisms and is very prevalent in parts of the Carribbean. The coral appears pale white (or "bleached") instead of its normal gray-green-brown hues. Coral heads are actually made up of thousands of tiny, living organisms. Coral bleaching kills the coral and produces the white, bleached appearance. The coral can recover; however, it takes many, many years for coral to grow to a sizeable mass. Coral bleaching often kills the entire coral colony. Global warming is thought to contribute to coral bleaching: the problem in the Carribbean has worsened with just a one- or two-degree increase in water temperature.
corals are made by some small animals called polyp.there are different types of corals. some are ordinary and some are weird looking . i hope this is some use for you
It becomes a bleached white colour because the zooxanthellae gave it it's colour (coral reef bleaching) and it will eventually die because this algae is 98% of its food source
bacteria can harm things and make it turn white . for exampel , a bleached coral turns white caused byy bacteria .
Not nessesarily, but white (bleached) coral is very unhealthy, and in many cases does die. But usually when it is white, it is still alive. When it dies, it gets quickly covered in algae, and so turns brown and green.
