It really depends on which part of Asia you are seeking information on.
For example in far eastern part of Russia there are extremely cold weather conditions in the winter time and then mild weather conditions in the summer and spring times.
It is very different in every country through out Asia due to the fact that Asia takes up over 30% of earths surface.
Daily life in Asia has more to do with a particular country than it does with Asia in general. For example, a Pakistani would almost never eat pork, but a Chinese family would consider roast pork a delicacy. Similarly, Indians avoid beef, but beef is the dominant red meat in Japan. This is just food. However, there are some general trends and patterns in Asian life.
As concerns sleeping, in modern cities, typically, Asians sleep on mattresses similar to the Western convention. This is most prevalent in the Middle East. In poorer regions and rural areas, people tend to sleep on the floor on top of a blanket or two. There are however, some in the cities who sleep on mats or blankets reminiscent of the more traditional methods used in rural areas.
As concerns shopping, Asians in major cities use the conveniences of those cities, like shopping malls, pharmacies, and retail chains. In the rural areas, there are weekly markets which spring up one day each week when the supply trucks arrive and everyone buys what they need for the upcoming week.
As concerns travel and commuting, in places where commuting is easy, people may live relatively large distances from work (like the United States). In countries with worse infrastructure, many people live much closer to their jobs. If they cannot afford the nicer places, they eke out a living in the slums.
