The old system before the Hitpoints was converted into Constitution was the damage x4.
E.g. If you hit 1 you get 4xp. You hit 10, you get 40xp.
Now, since it's x10 for Constitution, it is now 0.4xp per hit.
E.g. you hit 100, you get 40xp. It is the same considering the fact that, compared to the old system, 100(now) would be the same as 10 back then. So the xp received would and should be the same.
When you attack, make sure your attack style is 'block'. This means when you attack something, you gain experience in defence only.
There is 51,699 experience between the levels.
In order to get pure defence in Runescape, you kill monsters using defence stance accessed in the combat style thing. That is how you get pure defence in Runescape.
You can select an attack type that gives you only defense experience. Note that this will give you no attack or strength experience.
No, the only chance you get for defence experience is after doing the entire quest you get a 20k experience lamp which you can use for any skill. :)
