The traits are passed on through gametes, in which the males sperm carries, and the females eggs are carried. Each only contains one of each chromotids which decides your traits depending on the matches the chromosomes make.

Scientists used data from Gregor Mendels studies to choke that information about traits passed from parents to offspring through?

Traits are passed from parents to offspring through genes.

What did Mendel determine was not a good explanation for how traits were passed on from parent to offspring?

Traits are inherited through the genes of parents to their offspring. Traits can be a genetic transfer.

Why is DNA transmitting information important?

Let's consider animals. The genetic information needed for a zygote to develop into an adult animal comes from the prior generation. If that information were not passed on from the parents, there would be no offspring.
