Global warming is a social problem because of many factors. Factors like emissions for example, emissions tests are only in a few states. With more emissions tests on vehicles, this would lessen the global warming, not by leaps and bounds but it would help. If more people recycled, and cleaned up waters this could help.

∙ 11y agoGlobal warming is a world problem because after a very long period of time we will have climate changes that will make certain areas of the planet uninhabitable and possibly kill millions of people living in these areas. We can not accurately predict where and when this will happen we just know it probably will.
It is not just a problem for countries with factories and tall skyscrapers and large cities like the US. Global warming is caused by pretty much everything that emits CO2 exhaust. Some examples are cars, which pretty much all countries have, buildings, houses, factories, and pretty much anything that has a gas-burning motor, which is what pretty much every country has something like this also.
It affects all the creatures on earth like the polar ice cap before it doesn't melt that fast now its even melting faster and maybe for the next 20 - 30 years there will be little ice left for the polar bear and seals to live in. and on some parts of the world global warming is so bad they do what they can to prevent it . and in cold countries before it always snows at their area now it snows sometimes.
The Earth has only one atmosphere that we all share. If one person pollutes it, it's polluted for everyone. Likewise, the Earth really one has one big ocean. If global warming causes that ocean to get deeper, coasts worldwide
will flood.
Over the past years, numerous irregularities have been detected such as the formation of a hurricane or a typhoon where these are normally known not to exist, the temperature fluctuations, the strength of recent typhoons, the sudden increase in the number of tropical cyclones visiting the different countries in a year, the breaking and melting of ice in the polar regions and mountain peaks, and the drying of bodies of water.
Such oddities and irregularities are caused by a major problem facing the inhabitants of this planet nowadays as shown in the film "An Inconvenient Truth". Global warming is indeed a phenomenon that should urge governments and citizens of each nation to work hand in hand together to control the effects of global warming.
The film "An Inconvenient Truth" is a call to all of us to open our eyes to the irregularities and oddities occurring around us, to look for the reason behind these and to work together to combat the deterioration of the environmental wonders. We are called to read and respond to the signs of the times. And one such response is the Kyoto Protocol which is geared towards the reduction of greenhouse gases which trap the heat of the sun in our atmosphere. The number of countries signing the Kyoto Protocol gives us hope, and so does the number of countries ratifying the said protocol. Nevertheless, the actual implementation of the provisions of such protocol is something that must be made sure of. Furthermore, the fact that the United States of America refused to ratify the said protocol because of its lack of a strict timeline is an alarming fact because of the said country's strong political and economic influence.
The film "An Inconvenient Truth" presents a number of statistics showing the realities of global warming. In the same film, it was explained that the myth that the earth is so big and that we are so small to affect the earth drastically should be put aside, for the atmosphere is a very thin layer of the earth that all the human activities when combined can alter that particular sheet surrounding the earth for better or for worse.

This means that needs must be met by the government and the society when people are left with nothing. This also causes the migration of people to other areas due to drought or flooding. The loss of crops, food supply shortages, and the changes in the weather results in people having to change the ways they live. All of this creates social problems and needs.
Global warming itself is cause by social problems, if we consider the importation and consumption of finite fossil fuels and the ensuing trade deficit and resulting environmental degradation social issues.
