Several factors that were implemented contributed towards the success of the Green Revolution, however they all worked together in steps to make it possible.

1. Initially land reforms as well as improved rural infrastructure were implemented on many farmers land to make it more fertile and crop friendly.

2. Most farms then had irrigation systems built in order to properly water their crops and produce high yields.

3. Hybrid versions of high yielding seeds, particularly of rice and wheat were then given to these farmers to plant and grow.

4. Chemical fertilizer was introduced to keep their yields fertile and healthy.

5. Throughout the process the new use of insecticides and pesticides would kill any insect or pest harming the crop, provoking a large yield.

6. High yields would be produced and distributed throughout the country not only feeding the population but also benefitting India's economy.

Other important factors include the implementation of agricultural colleges across India. The inexperienced farmers would learn how to use this new technology and properly farm to produce maximum yield.
