Pollution is harmful to people because the pollutants, by getting inside the lungs and settling there, do damage to whole body by destroying the parts of the lungs and by reducing the oxygen in your body which makes your life time shorter. Pollution causes a variety of diseases which are very fatal.

Pollution is basically when all these gases and fumes from cars, factories and all sorts of things go into the atmosphere. In some places pollution is so bad that you can see the gas, and it can be very harmful to breathe in as that can affect your lungs.
