Political opinions are formed by students who have studies in political science, philosophy and economics. Political opinions are also formed as reactions to government actions or non actions on important matters by the general public. These opinions can also be made based on media news information or editorials in newspapers, magazines and from the TV & radio media.

Political opinions are also formed due to the activities of persons running for public office. A perfect example of this is post WW1 politics in Germany. People were made aware of proposed political policies by the Social Democrats, the Nazi's and the Communists, among other groups.
