My roofer asked me what the slope of the roof was. It was an 8,12. That meant that the rise was 8 inches for 12 inches of run. A steeper roof would have more area and a flat roof would have less.
At the corner I have to cut a 45 degree angle to make it match. That is a slope when turned flat of 1 over 1.
The ramps in the USA have to be flatter than a slope of 1 over 10 and recommended to 1 over 12.
