colon
The intestines, but water reabsorption occurs mostly in the lower small intestines. Feces formation along with some more fluid absorption occurs in the colon of the large intestines. But the large intestines' primary job is to compact liquid waste into solid waste.
Because Villi is a way for the small intestinal to increase it's surface. thus providing more space and more cells for absorption(main function). The colon on the other hand,it's primary function is to propel feces to the rectum (though is does absorb water and salts and some vitamins) and there's no need to increase it's surface because doing so doesn't help achieving it's function.
They have a Trunk that stores their water so they can use it another time when they need it. Plants have adapted to drought by developing better water absorption root system. Conserving water and having devices to minimize transpiration rate by its areal parts.
cilia cilia is wrong. The correct answer is microvilli. cilia is more for movement
colon
Its function is primarily the absorption of water from fecal matter.
Its function is primarily the absorption of water from fecal matter.
the colon
The food after digestion is in a liquid form and once it enters the colon the colon tends to absorb all the water to give some consistency to the stools. So the main function of colon is absorption of water
The absorption of excess water from waste and the compaction of any undigestible material (fiber) into feces occurs in the large intestine, which is also called the colon.
Diarrhea
Your colon is similar to a trash can. Other than absorption of water, it has no further use for the residue that your body can't use.
small intestine, and water absorption occurs in the colon/large intestine
