Your ears can tell from which direction sounds are coming from, if that's what you mean by direction, and yes, your ears tell how balanced you are, but im not sure how, or in which part of them. Google it =D
Vestibulocochlear apparatus is related to sense of balance and hearing. Vestibular part to balance and cochlear part to hearing.
Sense organs are the structures that tell you about your surroundings. For instance:- Eyes (seeing) Nose (smelling) Taste touch Hot/cold balance hearing etc.
I believe that the vestibulocochlear nerve controls balance and hearing.
Hearing (audioception)Balance (equilibrioception)Touch (tactition)Pain (nociception)
Equilibrioception ; see related link to additional information .
The surgeon enters the internal canal of the ear and separates the nerve bundles governing hearing from the nerve bundles that govern the sense of balance, in order to control the patient's vertigo without sacrificing hearing
The inner ear contains the sense organs for hearing and balance. The inner ear is comprised of two main functional parts: the vestibular system and the cochlea.
ototoxic drugs may cause lack of hearing, and loss of sense of balance.
Balance and hearing both derive from the same organ, the cochlea, therefore the auditory center of the brain is also responsible for perceiving balance.
Balance touch and hearing
Hearing and balance receptors are found in the ear.
Hearing and balance. The ear doesnt control anything, it is a sensory organ only. It does though sense sound and gravitational pull, the senses of hearing and balance. The information is receives is relayed to the brain which controls movements to adjust balance.
their balance would be off and the only sense that would be affected is their hearing
because of your semicular canals it messes with your sense of balance, and ofcourse with you hearing but mostly with your sense of balance so if you get your semicular canals removed or just really damaged than you Could get crippled
