There has never been a confirmed death from cannabis use but a small number of people have died indirectly due to inhalation of their own vomit. The toxicity of cannabinoids is very low but as cannabis can affect your motor skills caution should be taken. There is not any data on people who have only smoked cannabis which means it is impossible to determine any link with cancer but it is probably is not very good for your lungs.

Well I've smoked some marijuana when I was younger. Marijuana doesn't cause serious health problems. It can cause short-term memory loss though and long term eventually, but it always affects people differently. Smoking weed causes less serious health problems than tobacco and alcohol. It doesn't cause addiction, cancer, heart problems, birth defects or liver damage. And nobody in the world has ever died due to the health problems caused by marijuana. At worst you damage your lungs but it can't kill you. Cigarettes have been proven to cause cancer, though marijuana has been shown to actually decrease tumor growth. So scale of 1 to 10 cannabis is a 0 on the lethal scale. Haha sorry it's so long.
