If your dressing has been cooked inside a bird, or has broth from the bird, or has any meat or dairy products in it, you should refrigerate it the same day it's cooked and/or served. If it contains only bread, vegetables, and seasoning, you can leave it out overnight, but no longer.

If you are referring to salad dressings, commercial products include preservatives and will have an expiration date on the bottle.

Home made dressings are good for a couple months.

Dressing as in stuffing for poultry, not long, a few days at most and make sure that the left overs are well cooked.

I would cook it at least the next day. Cooked dressing can also be stored if kept cool.
