Can cellophane hair treatment treats burn hair from coloring hair
No
You can take a bath, 1 day after the hair treatment.
A cellophane hair treatment is meant to last about 8 to 12 weeks, so it can be repeated about every two months. It actually uses no cellophane, but utilizes a temporary hair color that provides shine and fullness.
YES! I've had three different stylist decide without telling me to use cellophane on my hair with the same result. SEVERE breakage! I am Black and do not use relaxer at all. After the cellophane treatment, it looks as though it has been relaxed with waves instead of curls. My hair then breaks and the only thing that can be done is cutting it off and allowing new hair to grow. The first hair dresser denied that it could be the cellophane but maybe hormones. The second and third said the same thing. But why does my hair grow back and does well until the cellophane treatment is applied?

I have been a hairdresser for 13 years and I have seen that cellophane doesn't cause damage in fact it gives shine to hair. It is also used as a way treat damaged hair. Most cellophane products contain protein. The hairdresser is definitely correct. Cellophane coats the outside of the hair, causing no damage and is a great conditioning agent. It is not like dye in the sense that dye actually goes to the inside of the hair shaft.
