Well, since the God of The Bible is all-knowing and outside of time, it's safe to assume He planned for the rebellion and faithlessness of the Israelites from the start. The intentwas that the Israelites would enter into the Promised Land shortly after leaving Egypt ... perhaps a few weeks, tops. Because they chose to trust their own abilities, or lack thereof, rather than have faith in God's promises, the whole group had to wander in the wilderness for 40 years, until all but Joshua and Caleb had died. Who knows what God's plan is/are? But somewhere, sometime during the Exodus, someone gave them a wrong direction, or someone supposedly received an [false] inspiration from God. Since nobody knows what God's plan were, then all answers to this question are mere hypothesis.
Took my peoples land and promised us peace...but instead it was nomad land ...they try to take our culture away
The Promised Land, or Holy Land was the region of land in which God promised to Abraham's descendants (see Genesis 17). God promised to make Abraham into a father of nations through his son Isaac and make his descendants "extremely fruitful." God later appeared to Abraham's grandson Jacob (Genesis 28:13-15) and promised him this land also, because it was through Jacob's descendants that the promise would be fulfilled (Jacob was later named Israel - the nation which would take the promised land). The promise was fulfilled when Israel finally took the promised land which God told them to go and enjoy (Deuteronomy 1:8). It's a great account of faith, hope, and God's unfailing love. If you haven't read it , you owe it to yourself to read epic adventure. Answer 2: Jews are still awaiting the coming of the messiah. And a few conditions need to be in place for when the Messiah comes. The Land, "Isreal" is a big part of these conditions.
on average most people plan their wedding for 6-12 months i hope this helps
Because he needed more time to think about his plan!
He promised to take all the American Indians out of the people's way (the pioneers) and he promised to help the poor, low class of people in the south against the rich and upper class people. He was a racist, hypocrite, and the worst president ever in office.. besides Herbert Hoover.
It took the Israelite a total of 40 years to reach the promised land.

The King of England
God did not allow Moses to reach the promised land. Rather, he died at Mt. Nebo (as God has said in Numbers 20:12, "And the Lord spake unto Moses and Aaron, Because ye believed Me not, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore ye shall not bring this congregation, into the land which I have given them." KJV) where he was able to see a panoramic view of the promised land. Moses led the Children of Israel during their nation-building in the wilderness, from the exodus from Egypt to the threshold of entering the Promised Land, a period of 40 years, but never in his life set foot in the land.

By walking, approximately 2 weeks. The above answer is absolutely right. The reason it took the Israelites 40 years was because of their unbelief in not wanting to enter the promised land. They also went by a more round about route which would have made it take a month or two longer anyway. Much of the 40 years was spent at Kadesh-Barnea in the Negev region.
