On the phone..
Yes, as long as they qualify and have the desire to enlist.
Lincoln spoke for about three minutes.
The Southern army was not as organized as the North. The North had special stations where people could enlist. They also had a set age that you had to be to enlist in the army (without much effect). The South was much less organized. In the South as long as you could hold a rifle you could join the army. There were no booths where you could enlist. To enlist all you had to do is go to a military camp or base of operations and tell them you wanted to fight. Then they would hand you a rifle and some gear and you were off to battle.
he read the bible.

Yes, a phone call between Lincoln, NE and Omaha, NE is long distance, and you will be charged for long distance if your phone service does not include long distance. They are in the same area code, but that is irrelevant. Your service area may not include all numbers in that area code and in fact may include numbers in other area codes (for example, an Omaha call to Council Bluffs, IA will not be long distance).
Yes. As long as you meet the eligibility requirements.
It is quite possibly a Mayfly or as some call them Canadian soldiers.
Pending on how old you are, you should be able to. Might wanna get online and find the nearest Navy recruiters office around you and call them. If anything you might need a waiver from MEPS but i dont think that would be a problem if you were a Marine. Army...might be hard, but Marine...yeah you're set, you're too valuable to the government to not let you re-enlist.
A High School diploma is all you require to enlist.
