A conservative view holds that most of the New Testament was written quite quickly, within about thirty years of Jesus' death, and that the New Testament was completed before the end of the first century.

Critical scholars, informed by careful study, say that the earliest New Testament books to be written were Hebrews and Paul's epistles, completed by around 60 CE, but that Mark's Gospel, the first New Testament gospel to be written, was not written until approximately 70 CE. The say that Second Peter was not written until shortly before 150 CE.

The Gospel of Matthew was completed in 41 AD . The book of Revelation was completed in 96 AD. So the estimated completion time would be about 55 years.
